| Apparently, according to the 'Xanga Elite' anyway, 4 posts a year is simply not up to snuff. I haven't actually been able to get ahold of the official caste layout yet, but I'm doubting that five posts will move me up up the ladder much. However, it's a start !!!POWDER KING!!! A day trip to Powder King was just that, five minutes short of 24 hours. We left at 3:15am and it was a bit of a haul, but was worth it as the mountain lived up to its boast. Over 450 cm and lots of it untouched.
However, it seemed that most of the day was broken down into 3 phases: We most undoubtedly enjoyed THE GOOD!!!
but, it seemed that not far behind that was always THE BAD!!!
And sometimes ended in THE UGLY!!!
Thank goodness for that 450 + cm of snow. Amazing trip, I think i'm ready to be done with snow for this year, but it was great to part with the white stuff on a good note.
| Well, Dave Noble and myself traveled back to Williams Lake yesterday after a four week stint in Ft. St. John. It was a gorgeous day for the trip as we wound our way down the province. Around mountains, along valleys, and amidst a sea of blazing aspen, all under an Autumn sun. Way too romantic for two guys in a truck. Our time there was spent doing a house reno and then setting up a logging camp. We stayed in the logging camp as we were setting it up, so part of the time it was pretty rustic. We did have electricity, running water (at least 50% of the time) and a kitchen. However, I think one of the greatest accomplishments was realizing that you can survive for an entire month on nothing but burgers, spaghetti, and perogies; as long as you don't mind getting a touch of scurvy. Mark and Jonathan stayed in Ft. St. John to finish up the construction work, and then Dave is going to rejoin them as they start logging for the winter. I'm heading to White Rock early next week for Luke's wedding, then back to work on the foundation for a house my parents are building. It was a quick trip North but worth it. I got to see 'real' northern lights and once again am blown away by the expanse and beauty of BC. | | |
| Just bought my first ever country album! Look what this place does to you. | | |
| Wow, All done with exams and that's always an amazing feeling. However, I always seem to be finishing up just when most other people are getting started. I don't know if that means I'm way ahead or way behind.
My brothers, Dave Noble, and myself are now all heading up to Ft. St. John to masquerade as building contractors. Work in northern BC and Alberta is supposed to be all the rage, so we're going to see what's up. CarNoble Construction; watch for it, it'll be big. However, I can only work until school starts for me again, so unfortunately I won't be able to experience winter. But I guess I can live with that.
